What is crEATe all about?

crEATe is an online fundraising initiative set up to support EAT (Eating Awareness Team) here in Christchurch, NZ.

Essentially crEATe is an online art and craft auction, facilitated by Trade Me. The proceeds will go to support The EAT Team.

Throughout August we will be approaching individuals, groups, known artists, celebrities and Jo Bloggs alike to donate a piece of their own handmade art or craft. We will collect these items and auction them off throughout the last two weeks of October 09 (coniciding with LOVE YOUR BODY DAY).

If you or someone you know can make a mean tea cosy or can paint, draw, knit, sew, quilt, sketch, crochet, mould, sculpt, stick things together with snips and PVA etc (get the idea?) and would like to do a good deed this year then why not donate to crEATe?
